We’re delighted to announce the first round of the Open University Law Society’s internal mooting competition, the Gary Slapper Memorial Mooting Competition 2019-2020.
This is open to all paying OULS members who have studied at the Open University. There will be four rounds across the academic year. The first two rounds will be judged as individuals, in the second two rounds participants will be paired in teams and the rounds will be judged as teams.
The first round moot problem will be released on the 28th of October. Members may register their place in the competition by requesting a copy of the moot problem and bundle from mooting@ouls.org.
The first round will require submission of an appellant and respondent skeleton argument. The closing date of the first round is the 17th of November.
Full rules and instructions will be sent to members upon request of the moot problem.
We look forward to your skeleton arguments!
