Bail Application Results

Well done to our finalists for competing in the Bail Application competition on Sunday, 30th March 2025. The first competition in our new Advocacy Series. The competition saw 18 participants deliver a Bail Application via Zoom. Thank you to all who participated, the results are as follows:

Internal Novice Mooting Competition Finalists

The Novice Mooting Competition saw 12 participants compete in the first round at the National Justice Museum in Nottingham in front of an audience. The semi-finals were held online with 4 participants remaining to compete in the final - date TBC. The 4 finalists are as follows:

The OULS regularly hold workshops to prepare members for mooting competitions

Gary Slapper Memorial Mooting Competition 2024-2025 results

This competition saw 20 participants compete with the 4 finalists selected to moot at the Supreme Court in front of an audience of 45 OULS members on Thursday, 10th April 2025

Winning team:

Tyne Marchant & Rachael Goulbourne

Prize: £200.00 to each winner

Runner Up team:

David Garvin & Guy Munro-Henworth

Prize: £100.00 to each runner up

Tour of the Royal Courts of Justice

Members of the OULS met up for a tour of the Royal Courts of Justice in London in October 2024. We took full advantage of viewing real court cases after the tour.

Introducing the NEW Advocacy Series
